My personal opinion- - -look around before making a commitment to this bank.
Oh no - I had a $100 check go through that I had forgotten about. Luckily for me, Lake City has Overdraft "Priveleges". But what they don't tell you is that they SORT your charges in DECENDING order, paying the biggest one first! So instead of an overdraft fee on the $100 (my ending balance was -$36), they paid that charge first so I got SEVEN $34 overdraft fees on a day's worth of purchases. One of them was $34 for a $0.95 charge! If you had large charge go through that you didn't know about, and used your debit card 20 or 30 times, you could easily be out more than a THOUSAND dollars in one day! I am literally afraid to bank here and am moving somewhere safer.
Terrible! Tried to shut down my account and the supervisor was in a crappy mood and kept snapping at me. Over all terrible not happy with them and glad I'm changing banks. Oh yeah they also didn't let me know until I had a 70 dollar overdraft fee, that I can't pay it online.
Lake City Bank is by far the WORST in Warsaw. I spoke to an Alesha (head manager of some sort) Not only was she obnoxious and RUDE. She offered no help in any way to my problem. Im now stuck with paying a debt and being Forced to switch banks and start a new account ! -- *ive been with lake city for over a decade! they are the ONLY bank i was using, and i consider their customer service a joke.
Commercial business people have been fantastic! Personal banking is not as consistent.
A great community bank. Always friendly service!
