I stopped in there to get a transmission leak fixed on my way through this small town. They we too busy to help but the guy gave me 2 quarts of fluid FREE to top off my truck so I could make it to a different shop. Not often business do that any more. If I lived here I would definitely trust them with my vehicle.
I am very disappointed with the service that I received at this branch. In early October, 2015 I had the transmission rebuilt in my 2003 GMC Safari. Immediately after this was done I started having issues with the transmission, I took it back to them and explained in detail what it was doing. They said it wasn't transmission. It continued to happen and even tripped a trouble code that indicated shift problems. They did replace shift solenoids and sent me on my way. However, it continued to exhibit the symptoms, so I took it back (for the third time) and this time they had it for four days and used up a 1/2 tank of gas. They said it "sort of" did what I said, but it wasn't related to the transmission. Finally I took it to another mechanic and they said it was absolutely related to the transmission! I called the shop back and they could care less, they stood by their claim that it wasn't transmission. I now have to drive 45 minutes away to another Russ Moore branch in hope that they can identify the problem and honor the warranty.
They weren't rude, I just don't think they know what they are doing. I've had to get rides, borrow vehicles, and basically be without my van for an entire month. I'm now going to have to rent a car and spend money on gas to take it to a further shop. This is not how you do customer service, I will not be returning and recommend that if you have transmission problems, you avoid the Warsaw, Indiana Russ Moore Transmission Specialists.
